Updating the firmware on these zoomable color wash theatrical lighting fixtures today resolved a rather pesky issue our client was having with them. But we’re also proponents of the maxim “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!” Unnecessary firmware updates to a system that is stable for its intended purpose can introduce new problems.
The latest isn’t always the greatest. But it solved the problem in this case.
